Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in Yavatmal area that is an isolated national park
in Maharashtra. The tipeshwar wildlife sanctuary provides every visitor a tremendous
opportunity every visitor to travel around a wide range of wildlife species.
This sanctuary is placed in Pandarkawada district of Yavatmal that encloses an area of
148.63 sq.km. Mainly, the sanctuary sprawls amongst the Patanbori and Parwa Ranges of
the Pandarkawad Forest Division. This sanctuary is widespread for its exotic hilly-
undulating territory and wildlife miscellany. The Tipeshwar wildlife sanctuary found its
name from the ‘Goddess Tipai’ that is sited near the Tipeshwar village in the sanctuary area.
This Tipeshwar wildlife sanctuary is quite unknown to several people, therefore, a very less
number of people travel to Tipeshwar national park. Many villages are positioned amidst
the sanctuary area and local people are depending on the forest for their day-to-day goings-
on. As such wildlife reserve is located in a very far-flung district of Maharashtra and it
comprises of an opulent wildlife and biodiversity.
Tipeshwar has dry deciduous forest with dense woodland vegetation and animals like –
Chital, Sambar, Barking Deer, Sloth Bear, Porcupine, Neel Gai, Indian Gaur, Wild Dog, Wild
Boar, Leopard and Tiger make Tipeshwar an incredible natural land. The park is considered
an offbeat track and thus multiples the fun for all those decides to visit the Jungle. It also
consists of more than 150 species of Birds.
Note –:
Tipeshwar wildlife sanctuary is very less visited place and situated at very
remote place. Although it’s rich in bio diversity. There are not many facilities
near staying places.

** All are requested to catch ‘Vidarbh Express’ or ‘Duranto Express ’ from CSMT to
Nagpur on 11 th April 2019 which will reach at Nagpur on next day early morning.
Things to carry,
*** PLEASE CARRY YOUR OWN PHOTO ID PROOF *** MUST ***
1. Camera - optional – at own risk & responsibility.
2. Binocular - optional – but you must carry the same.
3. Torch. Cap – Must.
4. Personal medicines.
5. Please wear cloths which suits to jungle. i.e. Camouflage.
6. One good travel sack or good travel bag.
7. Mobile / Laptop.... with charger.... optional - at own risk & responsibility.
8. Tooth brush-tooth paste- - hair oil.
9. Sun screen lotion – more than SPF 30 quality.
